Hello! I have been a bad blogger! I have been crafting but sadly, not uploading and sharing. I'm sorry! I also have some blogs to visit to see what my fellow stampers are up to so be looking for my comments on your great projects!
I am happy to say that my first Hostess Club is underway with 2 get togethers under our belt. I have loved knowing that once a month, I will have these ladies over to make something new. It encourages (forces...lol!) me to look for new ideas and techniques to share with them all the time.
We had our first get together in July to kick off the brand new Stampin' Up! Idea Book. We made a project that featured all the brand new In Colors. I found an adorable project on Splitcoast Stampers that this fellow demonstrator had posted. She has a great blog so check her out! Here is the project:
This set of 6 3" x 3" cards features all six of the new In Colors: Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry, & Dusty Durango. We used textured cardstock, various circle punches, scallop circle punch, word window punch, & the new modern label punch. We also used the new polka dot In Color ribbon...LOVE this!
I also made this card to demonstrate our wonderful Movers & Shapers Die for the Sizzix Big Shot. The recipe was featured on the Stampin' Up! Demo Site but this Splitcoast Stamper
used the S.U. Trendy Trees stamp set and I loved the result. As you can see, I am a major CASER'er (Copy And Share Everything!). Here is my card:
Here are the cards I made for my August stamp club get together. I used Pun Fun. It is the cutest set and perfect for demonstrating different coloring techniques. I used different techniques for the cards including blender pens with markers, aqua painters with markers and watercolor wonder crayons. The DSP I used was East Coast Prep (retired), and the colored cardstock I used was Wild Wasabi, Real Red, More Mustard, Tempting Turquoise. I used various embellishments to coordinate with the cards. I used Fun Flock from Stampendous for the sheep on Thank Ewe.
Peace,
Wonderful projects and I'm sure your club members were thrilled. Good luck with the rest of them!
